EXTRA EXTRA: Why Jobs Are Safe From AI! (Extra credit)

What we can see is AI has been rapidly transforming the world and many of the industries I was looking forward applying to before many jobs were taken over leaving millions of people without income. This evolution leaves me with a critical question: Which professions remain secure in the face of AI world domination. When you look at jobs that hinge on emotional intelligence and creativity it seems like it's less susceptible to automation. Roles like therapy, social work, teachers require a high level of emotional intelligence and empathy, these qualities leave AI useless due to not being able to replicate their jobs. Instead AI can be used as a tool for these workers to further better their output, almost like what AI should be used for! Similarly, jobs like artists, writers, and musicians need human creativity to advance their art and it cannot be replaced by AI. While AI continues to do routine tasks, jobs that center human creativity and emotional intelligence remain vital embracing lifelong learning to thrive along AI advancements. Just as the Internet doomed jobs, it also created them. I feel that as we should feel afraid, we should also feel excited (someone said this before) about the advancements of AI since new jobs we could never think about will be created. I hope for a dystopia of where AI will eradicate jobs to leave us doing what we want instead of doing what makes us a living. Now what a world that would be. What are your thoughts on the future interplay between AI and the job market? Do you believe that AI is for better or for worse?
