We had an assignment to create a simple HTML doc. After reading the helpers guide that was prepared I came across a road block. I Started following the instruction opening up NotePad and entering in the basics of <html> and <title> then giving my page a name (Fobdi's Page) and not forgetting to add a <body> tag for the main content. After adding some text and playing around I decided to change the background color light as well. After that I tried to insert an image using <img src="URL "> hitting the roadblock I mentioned earlier. As. a student who's taken Java and Python, running across trouble seems to happen all the time. After using local file paths instead I quickly corrected the mistake. At one point while trying to open the website over and over again I found it that I forgot to use the .html extension to open the file. I feel like not coding for a while made me forget everything, at first I assumed that this would be really easy (and it relatively was) but I was finding small mistakes I usually wouldn't make. What I learned from this assignment definitely was to continue practicing coding like a muscle since for me I tend to forget things relatively quick. Today it was about the basic HTML page but tomorrow it could be the development of games, you never know. I want to put my all into coding but the future of AI is terrifying to look at with the job circuit. I look forward to coding more in the future and this journey of HTML was one of the starts.
