In the early 1990's, everything was changing as far as the internet we starting seeing the interaction of the world wide web. In public the dot com boom vs the dot com bomb and what happened was a lot of internet companies started having this craze, where there was the rise of a lot of companies creating websites and a lot of them didn't make it, investors started giving them a lot of money and a lot of the companies didn't really have the research to back up what they were giving (money wise) due to the creation being so new. there was a big stock market crash causing a lot of companies to fail, and important thing to take away from this is companies like info blocks were worth more than Boeing. Kaleil carried this over confident energy that fueled his passionate behavior. A leader one could say, that could inspire other investors but when things started to go south he couldn't understand when to stand down when things were going off track. With Tom there was. a more grounded approach but to me seemed a bit overshadowed at times. There was a tension built because of this that made it seem more high pressured in their endeavor. With the dot com bubble there was this lesson that proved excitement outpaced practically. With Investors throwing money at dot coms without understanding the functionality behind it, looking at it right now it truly reminds me of what people are doing when it comes Crypto and AI. I feel like people should be focusing on what the substance is instead of rushing for the gold pot. Lookingb at Tom and Kaleils story shows us a cautionary tale that inspires us to learn from.
