ML and AI against Society

When looking at the World Wide Web we seen this disruptive behavior that changed everything in the 90's. The internet made it so that the middle men weren't needed anymore and looking at Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence has a similar wave coming in right now. AI is starting to shrink the impact seen in many roles that rely on that repetitive tasks. For me as a junior level engineer, there's many lay offs in the entry level positions due to AI being able to replicate the nature of my job making it so that companies can save millions on hiring. When looking at customer service roles you can see them being replaced as well by AI chatbots (a huge pet peeve of mine), you can't escape the "Dial 5 for *insert answer*" without thinking about wanted to hang up. These algorithms are taking over tasks like stock trading, scoring of credits, investment advising, etc. These are full marketable jobs that are now no longer available due to robots doing the same job faster, cheaper, and. arguably better. Now when you take a step back from the general public's opinion, you start to gage AI's convergence with other tech like cloud computing (creating entirely new business opportunities). An example could be for smart cities and its concept. Traffic could be optimized, energy use could be more efficient, public services could be utilized differently, I mean entirely new industries can be created for better use and urban efficiency. We already see the AR and VR industry coming with life changing creative inventions. When look at AI I can see it also bring in new jobs like AI ethics, all we need to do is implement these changes to make sure society adapts to the changes greatly with the cheat code of seeing what happened before with the internet boom. Follow a similar blueprint and the future could be endless.

AI is everywhere and the government is trying to figure out how to control it. We are living in a sci-fi movie and all I'm trying to do...
